The Assault Rifle is a weapon that falls within the rifle category.

Summary[edit | edit source]

The Assault Rifle is a fully automatic Bullpup-style rifle with a 35 round magazine. The weapon comes with an integrated circular scope which can be accessed by holding down the assigned key (default Mouse 2). This weapon is one of the two starting weapons for any players beginning a match in all game modes except for in SWAT where this weapon's place is taken by the Battle Rifle.

This weapon is generally considered to be a jack-of-all-trades with relatively small amounts of bullet spread and a reasonably short TTK. This makes the weapon best suited for short to medium range engagements which are complemented by the weapon's large magazine size. Beyond this range, however, the weapon's damage drop off and increased spread prevents the weapon from being able to deal with anything but the weakest foes at longer ranges.
